Awright With The Dogs, Awreddy! #Minecraft

Be careful what you wish for.

I wanted a dog in Minecraft. I wanted a dog a dog a dog a dog a dog!!!!!

I got a dog.

Then I wanted TWO dogs, because then I could have a puppy!!!!!

Well, I got two dogs.

First, I compromised my principles, because I had to slaughter any number of cows to get steaks to feed my dogs, but I was able to face it because: You do that for your dog, right?

So I fed two dogs and they made a puppy! It was SO CUTE!

DogPupSo I made another one.

TwoPupsAnd they grew up almost immediately.

Now I have six dogs. They don’t need to be fed, unless I want more dogs (please, God, no), so that isn’t the problem. The problem is, they all jump into any water around (I’m right by water), then they shake the water off. Splash splash splash thwappa-thwappa-thwappa splash thwappa-thwappa-thwappa thwappa-thwappa-thwappa splash thwappa-thwappa-thwappa splash…. You get the idea.

Then they run in and out of my house ALL the TIME. Splash runinthehouse thwappa-thwappa-thwappa jumponthebed…. Six dogs, shaking off water and jumping on the bed….

What can I do? I could slaughter them all, which is, you know, not an option. I could take them into the woods and give them the sit command and leave them there, which also seems unkind, not to mention uncomfortably wicked stepmotherish. Besides, I would hear them barking all the time. Did I mention that they also bark all the time? Well, they bark all the time. I could give them the sit command and move to another island.

What I actually did is create another world and now I’m playing it. No dogs. If I come across a cat, I don’t say I won’t try to tame it. But, if I do, I’ll live with it for a while before I decide if I’m going to clone the damn thing.

I’m posting today at Fatal Foodies about a non-cheese cheesy vegan spread that non-vegans love.

Six dogs? Maybe you could teach the to hunt things that don’t live around you. Let them know they are always welcome to return and then “off you go”

That sort of happened to me once. But with cats. First, I fed a little mommy cat who brought her kittens to see me (beg for food). She’d get so excited to see me that she’d jump up from nursing, shedding kittens like crazy and rush over to bump her head up under my hand. Anyway, several years later, there was an explosion of sorts. There were over 20 cats rushing up to see me (beg for food). After a fecund spring, we attracted the attention of the real neighborhood cat lady, and she organized a catch and release with the local Allycat Advocates, and we were all righty tighty.

I think you should go back to visit Hound Island occasionally. Whenever you want to get your barks on.

Those Allycat Advocates are great folks! It’s sad not to have the little kitties, but it’s the right thing to do for all involved. It would be sadder to see them fighting or wasting away. You have a good crew back there now. I love seeing their pictures and hearing about their shenanigans. 🙂

-giggles- No mute command, huh? You’d think they’d bring in a hotfix for that one. And yes, cats are a lot quieter. 😀

I can mute the whole game, but then I can’t hear the water or the lowing of cattle or the -poof- when a shorn sheep pops out in fresh wool. It’s a trade-off. 😀

I’m a self-confessed graphics whore so the pixelated graphics have put me off to-date, but…those sound effects are almost enough to make me give Minecraft a go. ‘poof’? lmao!

Oh, Meeka, do try Minecraft! The first thing you do, is take your bare hand and knock bits out of a tree. Then open your inventory, click on the crafting block, and MAKE a crafting block. Then put the crafting block on the ground and make a couple of wooden picks. Then dig up some stone. Then touch the crafting block and turn the stone into a couple of stone picks and a furnace. Then touch the furnace and put some wood in the item place and more wood in the fuel place and make charcoal. Then touch the crafting block to turn some wood into planks, then turn the planks into sticks, then use the sticks and charcoal to make torches. Then go into a cave or dig down through the dirt and use the stone pick to get some coal and a bunch of iron ore. Then come back to your furnace and use the ore and coal to make iron ingots. Then touch the crafting block and make some iron picks and a pair of shears. Then take the shears to a sheep, shear it, and follow it around until it eats some grass. It’ll go POOF! and wool will pop out on it! Yay!
