I Am NOT Wasting My Time! I Am NOT! See? #Minecraft

I had a great gab session with our two younger grandsons the other day about Minecraft. That alone made playing it a great idea. 🙂 We swapped stories and they gave me tips and I bemused them by recounting all the crazy stuff I’ve caught while fishing (they insist I shouldn’t be able to catch anything but fish). Most satisfactory.

They liked my new house (yes, I left Dogmania behind for a while, to give my ears time to recover from all the doggy sound effects).

NewHouseIt isn’t large, but it’s made entirely of obsidian!!!! All except for that row of blocks in the front top, there (well, and the glass windows). The dark blue blocks are lapis lazuli, the yellow blocks are blocks of gold, and the pale blue block is a block of diamond. W00t!

Here’s my garden. It totally cracks me up that pumpkins grow with faces carved into them.

NewGardenAnd I’ve adorned the inside walls of my house with pictures. You don’t know what the picture will look like until you put it on the wall. If you don’t like it, you can take it down and put it up again and it’ll be different.

NewInteriorNow for the proof that I’m not wasting my time. Here’s one of many articles on the benefits of Minecrafting. True, they’re about the benefits to kids, but…. What did you say? Oh, sorry, I thought you said something.

And now, this.

I’m posting today on Fatal Foodies about a cabbage dish that was very nearly a FAIL.

Pumpkins growing already carved would be a time saver. Now if you could get Kale to grow already eaten, that would really be helpful.

~cackle~ Kale is dee-loash! If you don’t like kale, try kale chips. You pull the leafy bits off the kale, toss them with oil and salt, spread them in a single layer on a baking pan, and bake them at 400 until they crisp up. Eat ’em like pertater chips. MAN, they’re good! Trust me on this. Ask the editor to make you a couple and see what you think.

And the pumpkins? Pumpkin plus torch equals Jack-O’-Lantern.

I ADORE visiting your worlds of Minecraft! Thanks for all the fun with none of the fiddly part.

Great video. The dog’s an Akira, don’t you think?

    Happy Tuesday.

Not to mention none of the drowning or the burning up in lava parts. And that’s in PEACEFUL mode!

I think you’re right about the dog. I love her purple nail polish!

      Happy Tues to youse, too!

@Marian Allen – I have passed instructions to editor. I do sometimes eat Kale, but I like to pick on it.
