The Sadness of the #Minecraft Underwater Construction Project

When last we left my Minecraft obsession, I was attempting to build an underwater house. What I learned is that everything is ten times more difficult to do underwater except drowning. Drowning is very, very easy. And the picture below is not a cheery one:

YOUDIEDAt that, it’s better than the one I get if I accidentally fall into a pit of lava, which says, rather snottily, I think, “MomGoth tried to swim in lava!” Who writes that shit — Donald Trump? And why doesn’t the drowning screen say, like, “MomGoth tried to walk on water”? Anyway, I got tired of drowning, so I gave up on my underwater construction project. You can’t see fish swimming by, anyway, so BO-RING!

I went to a new world that I named Floribunda because it’s full of all kinds of flowers. I think I’ll do some construction projects around my new house. On land.

NewHouseFloribundaIt looks pretty bleak, but the house faces a forest, so there’s actually a beautiful view.

I’m posting today at Fatal Foodies about a dish I made with chard that I loved and Charlie didn’t.

A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: Write about a character who drowns repeatedly.

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

As usual, I just love your architectural confections.
Also, just saw a Minecraft tips book on Pixel of Ink.
