Doggone #Minecraft

I love having horses in Minecraft, but I love the wolf dogs more and I would love an ocelot cat best. Sadly, I’ve never seen an ocelot in Minecraft Pocket Edition. I still carry around thirty or so fish everywhere I go, just in case I ever come across one.

Also sadly, I had a dog in the world I was playing, but she went walking with me one day and vanished. Dogs are supposed to transport to wherever you are in Minecraft, but my dog (Barkle Plenty) never did. I searched and searched, but she’s just gone.

So I fished and fished, hoping to catch a bone. I caught a couple, and I slew three skeleton horses and collected three or four bones from them. AND THEY DIDN’T WORK. Bones are supposed to tame wolves into dogs, but my bones just go sort of poof and the wolves run off and kill rabbits or sheep.

Alas!

But I do have a horse. Taffy.

taffynakedShe has golden armor, and I feed her golden apples and hay.

taffycaparisonedI wanted her to have a dog as a companion animal, but that isn’t gonna happen, so I got her a cow instead. Here are Taffy and her bestie, Bossy.

taffybossyThe most fun thing in this world is my tree house. You can’t see the ladder on the far side of the one tree, but you can see the ladder on this other one.

treehouseThere’s a walkway between them. And see that blue cube up in the big tree? That’s a DIAMOND. There’s an EMERALD cube on the other side! Lots of gems, no dogs. I’d rather have a dog.

I’m going to go to another world and see if the wolves there like me better than the ones here. Goodbye, cruel world! Adieu!

I’m posting at Fatal Foodies today about the salad I made using the leftover bun from my sausage roll I got at my September lunch with Jane.

A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: Your character tries to make friends with an animal, but it’s having none of it.

I don’t know why, but your horse makes me think of Pokey (Gumby).

That’s an excellent character prompt for me, thanks!

    I see Pokey, too.
Kinda bummed about the dog AND the ocelot. Not like we encounter ocelots on a daily basis…

I played this character game (still do rarely) for about three years and never once spotted two of the adventure characters. It still kinda bums me out when I think about it.
I shall remain hopeful for you!

Thanks! I went to another world and found a wolf and tamed it and IT DIDN’T FOLLOW ME! Maybe it’s me. *sniffle*

The treehouse was fun. And Youngest Grandson tipped me off that, if you hit the Sneak button, you won’t fall off a ledge! So I don’t have to waste material, time, and space making guard rails!

I like me a no-guard-rails type of world!

Me, too! If I had known about this sooner, I could have saved myself a lot of time and damage from falling!
