My Little Worm #Caturday

Sweetie Pie Turner here, MomGoth’s mom’s cat. MomGoth is at Karen’s Book Barn today. If you’re in LaGrange, Kentucky today, stop in and see her!

You know how you have toy-friends, and you ignore them forEVER and then you take up with one of them again?

That’s me and my little worm. I have two of them; one green and one … some other color, but I like the green one SO MUCH these days.

Here’s his picture.

wormAnd here we are, cuddled up together between the statue that represents my late brother, Ozzie, and the scratchy slope MomGoth’s late cat, Amidala, left me.

sweetiepiewormMomGoth calls him Dr. Worm, because of this song.

She’s an odd woman.

    Strangely, the cat calendar shows 2 cats with their special fluffs. Each is carrying the fluff toward the camera to hand off to their human? Perhaps.

    My old boy T Maxx had a red fluff that he adored. He played with it like crazy, but he also cuddled it up to himself and slept with it. He was so large and fluffy, himself, that his little red fluff seemed minuscule, but it was his and he luvved it.

    -waves at Sweetie Pie- I haven’t heard this band in years! I loved Istanbul but I’m never sure about the rest of their songs. Happy Sunday. 🙂

      Some of TMBG’s songs are superlative, some are not-so-much. They didn’t write Istanbul, and I don’t like their treatment of it as much as I liked the original version from my childhood. I LOVE “Blue Canary” and “You’re Older Than You’ve Ever Been” (not sure about the title, but it’s a line), and “Cow Beneath the Sea” and several others.

    Several years ago, my kids won some plush toys at a party and those are the only ones my dog doesn’t destroy. I’ve noticed they’re very special, because the cats carry them around as well!

    @Marian Allen – They didn’t write Istanbul,

    Damn, I had no idea. I thought that song was just so clever. But if they didn’t write it, that kind of explains my ambivalence. Oh well. 🙂

    Just listened to both! The original totally made me feel as if I were on a camel, mooching along, up dune and down. Awesome. 😀
