Sweetie Pie Turner here, MomGoth’s Mom’s cat.
As if it wasn’t bad enough, my having fleas and having to go to the vet and MomGoth’s running the noisy thing every night to suck up the flea eggs, things got worse!
Mom decided it was time to get the carpets cleaned! MomGoth called Ann’s ChemDry, which is owned by a friend of hers and Mom’s, and they came out.
They brought monsters with them.
And one of them was so noisy, they left part of it outside!
They sprayed stuff on all my carpets and made them squishy and funny-smelling!
And they added insult to injury by this picture on their van.
Mom and MomGoth are really happy, because it only took an hour or so and they say all the carpets look and smell like new — as if a little hairball goo hurt anything.
I hid the whole time, of course, and then I had to hide for hours after, because they had the ceiling fans on and I hate those! My ears are very delicate, and any kind of growl or roar, no matter how soft, sends me running.
Thank goodness that’s over, is all I can say!

November 12, 2016 at 1:07pmHow funny. My dog takes to her crate when I vacuum, and most of the time, the cats hang out on top of the crate.
I used to have my carpets cleaned religiously in Georgia — all that sand! But we haven’t done it here. I keep thinking we should, but then, I’m like, ‘we ain’t gonna keep this carpet much longer’…and really, we keep keeping the carpet, so…
Glad you’re up and about and getting things done. Sorry about the fleas. Fleas must surely love a long, warm fall.

November 12, 2016 at 8:20pmUgh. Thanks for the reminder, Sweetie Pie. We’re heading into summer and flea season so I need to get the carpets done too. -sigh- I hate the whole process as well and the ‘kids’ take to the hills the moment the van arrives. 🙁
