First, it’s the beginning of the month, so there’s a new Hot Flash up. Hot Flashes are tiny little stories, in case you don’t know already.
Now. Yes, I know I said I was abandoning Minecraft, but no other game was satisfactory. I wanted a game with no ads, one I could play offline by myself, not “with friends” or winning awards on Google Play or anything competitive or social at all. I didn’t want any violence, and I wanted to be able to do what I wanted, not to be guided through a program.
That means Minecraft, Survival Mode, Peaceful Level.
So here I am, struggling with the frustration of trying to see and identify, let alone press, the correct icons in my inventory. It’s still the best game in town.
So here’s my new workspace in my new house in my new world in my old game. I found TONS of clay in this new world, and I’m right near a desert biome, which means lots of cactus to make into green dye. I’m also right near a stand of acacia trees, so I have lots of beautiful acacia wood for the floors and ceilings.
Acacia wood doors look like wooden prison doors, for some reason. I have my favorite picture, of course.
The single door leads to my bedroom.
I usually make rugs, but the acacia wood is so pretty, I probably won’t.
Here’s the outside. I love this.
BOOM! Floatin’ in the air, supported only by a staircase! The balcony is right outside my bedroom.
I love Minecraft so much!
Oh, I’m posting at Fatal Foodies today about a cauliflower scramble.
A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: A character puts up with an inconvenience to do something they love.

November 2, 2016 at 10:27amWell, thank you, Dan! I consider myself officially egged on. Do they say, “Stop egging her on,” up in your neck of the woods?

November 2, 2016 at 10:28amIt sure is, Jane. And, if building becomes too high-anxiety, I can always fish for string, bones, cowhide, and saddles. Well, and fish, of course.
