Missing My Brudder #Caturday

Sweetie Pie Turner here, MomGoth’s mom’s cat.

I used to have a little brother named Ozzy.

(There I am, in the background.)

I didn’t like him much. First, he was a suck-up, always wanting to sit in Mom’s lap and be cuddled. I’m more dignified and independent. Mom always liked him best, and that made me sad, although MomGoth always liked me best!. Second, he was a PEST. He would be all sweetie-sweetie to Mom, and then he would torment me. MomGoth used to call him Eddie Haskell, whatever that means.

Mom even liked him best after he made her sick! But MomGoth paid him back for that!

But a few years ago, Ozzy got a heartworm and died. It was pretty awful.

Mom and MomGoth cried and cried, but I secretly felt kind of relieved. He was really stressing me out. I was overgrooming, licking all my fur off in patches. After he stopped tormenting me, I let my fur grow back in.

Mom’s #1 Granddaughter and her husband and son bought Mom a statue of Ozzy, and MomGoth tied an orange ribbon around its neck because of the color of his fur.

When MomGoth was vacuuming the house every day to get rid of the fleas some mouse must have brought in, she moved the statue out onto the porch. She just moved it back in.

I couldn’t believe how glad I was to see him!

I kept licking his ears and pushing on him with my nose. It was like my good memories of my brother came back. The house seems so much friendlier now.

Appreciate the family you have with you. Even your pesty little brother.

I welled up, too, Joey! It was the sweetest thing, ever, when she started cleaning his ears like she and Ozzy used to do each other’s.

I used to call Sweetie Pie “Snickers” and Ozzy “Dreamsicle”. If you have a cat, dose it for heartworm. Watching him go was traumatic.

-sigh- Sweetie Pie you’re just like my Buffa. Here’s a tiny piece of chicken. Is that okay MomGoth?
