Home Sweet Igloo #Minecraft

I went out a-walking and, this being Minecraft, saw the following:

Surreal, ain’t it?

Oh, I forgot: I made this cave house and lined it with Andesite. I tamed a horse and dressed it in some diamond armor I found in a cavern. What should I name it?

Yes, yes, the horse is in the house. It keeps it from wandering away. My new dog is in the house, too, so it won’t fall into a pit, like my last dog.

Stupid dog.

ANYWAY, I went wandering amongst the ice spikes.

And I found an igloo!

Kewl. And I went in.

Igloos come with a furnace, a crafting table, a bed, and carpet. Oh, and a redstone torch, which doesn’t melt snow and ice, because igloo, people. Under the carpet of some igloos is a trapdoor.

What do you think is down that hatch, Jack? I don’t know, John; what do you think is down that hatch?

Well, it’s a dungeon.

Sometimes there’s a zombie villager in one of those cells. Which is why I would never actually live in an igloo, no matter how cozy the furnishings or how cool it is to have my very own hatch; the igloos I’ve found are all close to a village. If you’ve ever played Minecraft, you know how dead annoying those villagers can be. They just wander around going, “Eh. Eh-eh.” Creepy.

The dungeons have chests in them, generally filled with apples and golden apples (most useful for taming horses!). And — don’t ask me why — rotten flesh. Yes, I said rotten flesh. I don’t know if you’re supposed to feed that to the zombie villager or what. Don’t know, don’t care, ain’t touching it.

Although I hate to mention it directly after the preceding paragraph, I’m posting today at Fatal Foodies about a gluten-free pizza I made just for the hell of it that was most delicious.

Yes. I can eat gluten, but my doctor has me on a strict rotten-flesh-free diet — no cheating allowed!

It was actually in a igloo that my late dog perished. He went down the hatch.

You make me laugh and laugh.
Yes ma’am, stay away from the locals, particularly the zombies, and always, always keep your animals safely sheltered.

Oh, these locals, Joey! I raid their crops, because they never harvest them, and I had to rescue one of them from the friggin’ well. He’s bobbing around, going, “Eh. Ehhh.” And the other ones are just standing there with their hands tucked into their sleeves, watching. So I tried to stuck something under him to stand on, but that didn’t work, so I just hit him with a cobblestone until he jumped out. Tough love. Tough love.
