Sweetie Pie Turner here, MomGoth’s mom’s cat.
Last week, I told MomGoth I was zausted from posting every single Saturday, so you know what MomGoth did? She got me a sistant! He’s a boy, so I think he ought to be a brotherant, but MomGoth says that sistant is gender-neutral, so a sistant he is!
She knows I like being an only cat, so she keeps him at her house, but he works for me, and he’ll be doing all the Caturday work as soon as I get him trained.
The name he came with was Q-Tip, but Mr. MomGoth doesn’t like that name. He calls the new guy Tipper, so Tipper is his name now.
The training has begun. Here I teach him how to show his pretty head markings.
Here, I show him how to pose.
Here, I show him how to slink.
Of course, it’s imperative that one learn how to take a selfie. He took some teaching!

He’s very shy, but I plan to have him ready to post for himself next Caturday. And I’ll still be reporting now and then about the goings-on up here at MomGoth’s mom’s house.

February 5, 2017 at 8:11amTipper, we figure, was born in March, maybe. He was found as a weaned kitten eight months ago, so I’m giving him a March 21 birthday. Ought to call him Vernal Equinox. Hmmm…. Sounds like a name for a hick in one of my stories.

My Clara had a patch like that on her head when she was wee, and it grew to be totally white. I’m curious if his will stay on, and his snout, too…
So, in a related series of events: Last week, my friend Cole was searching for a solid white kitten for her mama. Had to be free, had to be fixed and flea-free. She found one, and he too had the slightest dark spot on his head. I said the same thing to her that I said to you, and I added, “I’m glad I didn’t name her Smudge!” Her mama named the new kitty Smudge!
And then our mutual friend posted a photo of her neighborhood stray, also called Smudge.

February 5, 2017 at 8:15amHa! Do you know, it never occurred to me to call him Smudge, although Smutty would be a good name for him: he hangs out in the basement and is always covered in ash. Cinderfella? Or Harry Potter, for the mark on his head and the cupboard-under-the-stairs thing? Nah, he’s Tipper. Interesting, that the cat turned completely white. He has a black undercoat, and I was wondering if he would turn black!
