Lazy But Dynamic #amwriting

Martin Cavannagh of Reedsy has come to my aid again and saved me from actually having to write a post today, by directing me (and, through me, you) to this post on Reedsy about Dynamic Characters.

I’m particularly intrigued by the author’s statement that a character need not change in order to be dynamic, that the character’s dynamism may consist in changing the broken world/situation they encounter.

I hope you enjoy the infographic as much as I do. It isn’t really an infographic, which is possibly why I like it; it’s more on the order of an illustrated … illustration. Okay, never mind, just look at it, ‘kay?

A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: Pick your five favorite movies/stories/novels and ‘splain how the protagonist changes self and/or the situation — or tries to change and fails.

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

I can’t read it! It’s too small. I wonder if I need to do it on my phone.
