One For The Day And For Why #FridayRecommends

For why do I only have one recommendation this week? I will tell you for why. Because, the reason being: I’ve been writing a story. The reading period starts April 24 and lasts about two weeks, so I’ve been wringing my brains, getting a story scratched out. Then I had to cut about 4,000 words to fit the guidelines. Now I have to edit it and polish it.

So I haven’t had much time to mess about research useful sites.

But my ever-lovin’ husband sent me this article on Medieval Medicines being researched for efficacy and use in Modern Medicine, and the site is so awesomely cool, I have to encourage you to go ‘splore it! Oh — the site is called The Conversation: Academic rigor, journalistic flair.

A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: A character finds something valuable in apparent outdated junk.

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

That’s a pretty cool reference. I’ll have to visit that over the weekend. Thanks!
