Tipper and the Very Bad Cat #Caturday #amwriting @StoryADayMay

Hi, there! I’m Tipper Allen, and guess what? I get to write anudder story!

In my very first story ever, there was a hero cat named Tipper who saved a wagon train. So this is anudder story about him.

Momma said I could fink about stuff that happened to me in real life and use that as part of the story. So I put in about the barn cats who used to be mean to me when I was only just little.

Tipper and the Very Bad Cat

by Tipper Allen

When the hero cat, Tipper, got the wagon train to the town out West, he wore out with people giving him hero parties all the time, so he went to another town.

All the people in that town were all scaredy. Every time Tipper wanted to play, they screamed and hid.

He stood outside and mewed, “Hey! What’s the matter? Didn’t you ever play before?”

Nobody answered.

He moseyed into a saloon. The people all scrunched away from him. The bartender, who looked just like Tipper’s poppa, said, “What’ll it be?”

Tipper said, “Blue Wilderness Trout Blend, please.”

“Want some catnip with that?”

Tipper look around at the cringing people. “No, thank you. It looks like I’d better keep my mind sharp. What’s wrong with everybody?”

The bartender who looked like Tipper’s poppa glanced at a big clock. “You’ll see, real soon.” He put Tipper’s order on the bar and muttered, “Waitin’ on a cat.”

The swinging doors opened, and in came another cat. All the people gaspeded and shuddereded.

This cat was white, like Tipper, but he had a gray patch on his skull like a hat instead of Tipper’s pretty charcoal streak. He reminded Tipper of the barn cats who used to beat him up when he was just a little baby kitten.

He swaggered up to the bar and said, real mean-like, “Catnip. Straight.”

The bartender who looked like Tipper’s poppa put it on the bar and stepped back.

The cat who looked kind of like Tipper only not cute looked Tipper over and said, “New in town, ain’tcha?”

“Yep.”

“Well, you better move on. This is my town.”

A woman in a pretty dress, who looked just like Tipper’s Momma, put her fists on her hips and said, “Think again, Big Tom.”

“You want another bite, sister?”

“Bring it.”

Tipper saw the lady who looked like his momma had bandages all over her. [She doesn’t really. I’m just making this up. None of this ever happened. It’s called a story. I’m making it up. Don’t be scared.]

When Big Tom scrunched down to jump at the lady, Tipper stepped in between them and said, “Let’s cool down, here.”

Big Tom twitched his tail, so Tipper knew he was really mad.

Big Tom said, “Nobody gets in between me and my prey. You lookin’ for a scratchin’? Or you wanna be bit? Is that it? ’Cause I bite hard. Ask anybody.”

All the people said, like, “Yep,” “He sure does,” “I’ll say,” and “Way hard!”

“I can bite hard, too.” [I’m sorry, Momma. I just got bexcited. It was only just one little blood. I’m sorry, though. Love you. See, this story shows how I wouldn’t let any cat bite you to be mean.]

Big Tom smacked at Tipper – WITH HIS CLAWS OUT! Tipper smacked back at him. The Tipper in this story didn’t get his claws clipped, so they were long and sharp, like Big Toms, only worserer.

They both yowled at the same time and reared up and grabbed each other. They rolled around on the floor, trying to bite each others’ faces and kicking at each other’s bellies with their back legs.

All the people scrooched back against the walls to give them room

First, it looked like Big Tom was winning, but Tipper was big and strong now, and he had lots of practice from fighting Mr. Crinkle Guy.

Finally, Big Tom yelled, “I give! I give!”

Tipper unbit Big Tom’s froat and said, “Whose town is it?”

Big Tom said, “It’s your town!”

Tipper slapped him. “I don’t want a town, you dummy! Whose town is it?”

“Um … The peoples’s town?”

“Yeah. The peoples’s town. Maybe they’ll let you stay here, if you’re good.”

“And stop biting,” the lady who looked like Tipper’s momma added.

“Okay! I promise!”

So after that, all the people of the town gave Tipper so many hero parties, he had to move on again. That’s how it is, when you’re a big, strong hero.

HE’S going to be a Bond supervillain, if he doesn’t stop biting my ankles. I’ll call him Dr. No-No, because I have to say it to him so often.

        Cat Spokesperson:
We do this, and the tripping thing. It is part of the custom of our people, dating back 4,000 years. And then at night we go out and melodiously sing the song of the history of our people!

He loved it when I told him he could get back at the cats who were mean to him by beating them up in a story. Victory without pain — it just doesn’t get any better than that.

He’s having fun with them, Meeka, so I think he’ll keep his attention on them through the May challenge. 😉
