An Abandoned #MinecraftPE House

So I set up a new world in Minecraft, I set it to Survival and Peaceful. Survival means I have to gather materials; Creative gives you everything you could possibly want. Peaceful means no monsters, but there’s still lava and suffocation and drowning. Exciting, but not too exciting, yeah? And wolves and bears will kill your ass, if you antagonize them, so don’t.

ANYWAY, I set up the world, go into it, and start gathering my materials.

Why is it that some worlds are boring and some worlds hold my interest for months? I ran through about half a dozen worlds in May before I found one the one I’m enjoying now. It isn’t the biome — the landscape and climate — because … long story, but it just isn’t.

I mean, who could not love landscape that looks like something out of Krazy Kat?

Part of it is my own self: if I like the house I build, I like the world a lot more than if I don’t like the house.

Here’s a house I never much got into. I wanted to build it up in the air because it was up in the air. I made the bridge out of glass so it would look invisible from a distance, but there was nobody to see it — or not see it — but me, so who cares? Eh? Who cares, eh?

I call it my Fibonacci house. Can anybody tell me why? Anyone? Anyone?

I’m posting today at Fatal Foodies about some kinda dishes. Do you know what they’re for? ‘Cause I don’t.

A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: How does your character feel about their house?

No, Dan, you’re right and you’re wrong — the blocks are difficult to count, but they ARE 1, 1, 2, 3, 5. I had no doubt you would spot it. ๐Ÿ™‚ Work –BAH!

I was pretty sure, I did notice the 1,1,2,3, but I thought that bottom row had 6. Oh well. Agree about work, but, you know, putting food on table and such…

It’s not green enough for me. Livin in the sandbox…
Fibonacci house is better, cause trees. And livin in the sky. I’m gonna pretend you didn’t lure me into architectural interest using math jargon.

You want it should be green instead of blue? The site? Or are you complainin’ about the sand in Minecraft?

How could you build your house floating like that? I thought it must be built on some in-game foundation right?

The bottom step is on the ground. I laid down a line of blocks, then built them up into a stairway. When I got to the top of the stairway, I came down and chopped away all of it but the steps themselves, and the stairs were floating in space (except for that first one on the ground). Then I went to the top of the stairs and hit the Sneak button so I wouldn’t fall off, and built the base of the house out from the edge of the top stair. ๐Ÿ™‚

WOW that’s clever! Thank you very much. My kids would be happy if I could try doing something like this for them. Have a good day Marian!
