First Things First
Earl Staggs has a great post up at Kevin Tipple’s Corner. Earl’s column is called History’s Rich With Mysteries. This one is about Sharon Kinne, and begs the question: Is This Steffie’s dear old gran?
I saw this first video some time ago, but I return to it now and then when I need a guffaw.

July 7, 2017 at 1:36pmFor the record, I’ve never set anything on fire while ironing or while cooking with an iron (yes, I’ve done that).

July 7, 2017 at 2:31pmAll while in dorm with no cooking utensils allowed
Grilled cheese – first piece of bread “lightly toasted” on inside – add cheese. Lightly toast inside of 2nd piece of bread. Put on top of cheese. Press outside of 2nd piece until nicely toasted. Flip over and repeat on 1st slice.
Pop Tarts. To prevent gooey mess, turn iron over and lay pop tart on top.
Pot-pie – old style, metal foil container. Sit on top for way too long if you have a heavy iron. I only tried that once and I ate it while still just warm. I did try to smush the top down, to give it some warmth and color.
It’s also possible to pop, albeit, incompletely. Jiffy-Pop popcorn – you can do lots with an iron 🙂

July 7, 2017 at 3:29pmNice! We used to use a popcorn popper to do all our cooking. With its lid on, it was a Dutch oven. Or you could boil stuff in it. Or fry stuff in it. Or take the pot off and use the coil with two coat hangers crossed over it to make toast.

July 7, 2017 at 7:54pmThat IS my FAVORITE Frasier skit. A Valentine for Niles. I have posted it before, but also, I wrote that on John Holton’s blog in the last 24 hours.
Plenty of violin music up in here. Some of these people act like strings are the only REAL instruments. lol Did I mention Sassy played with Black Violin last week? She bout threw up, peed her pants, passed out, and died, but instead, she celloed on.
J’aime bien le chat qui parle Francais. I had not seen that one. 🙂

July 8, 2017 at 10:52amOMG, you did NOT tell me Sassy played with Black Violin! !!!
I saw that you referenced the Niles skit. It’s the funniest skit I’ve seen on Frasier, and maybe anywhere. DHP has done some great physical comedy on that show, though, some of it just a second or two, but insanely funny. 😀
