Hi, there! I’m Tipper Allen, and guess what? I didn’t bite Momma again this week! I poked a hole in her arm, but that was kind of an askident. She pettedded me when I was in my touch-me-not chair, and I grabbed her arm and put my ears back. She said, “Okay. I get it. Let go, now. Nice and easy.” So I let go and jumped down, but one of my terrible claws poked her when I turned to jump. She said it really really hurt, and I was really really sorry. I didn’t mean to do it. And now we both know that’s my touch-me-not chair.
To make up for askidentally hurting her, I tried to help Momma. When the nights are cool, she opens the windows. Then she closes them in the morning so the house will stay cooler than outside. One day, she forgotted to close them, so I tried to do it for her.

I couldn’t do it. But I got Momma’s attention, so she did it herself. So I kinda sorta did it.
Den I was tired. I got back in my touch-me-not chair.

A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: Do you have a touch-me-not spot in da howse?

August 19, 2017 at 4:34pmNo, none of our cats have that kinda spot, but it’s an unspoken rule that we don’t bother the dog in her crate. She doesn’t even like it when we clean her crate or wash her blankies. She’ll bite her blankets and tug-of-war with me as I move them to the laundry room. So you know, we don’t do that too often. It makes her nervous. Her crate is her safe space, I reckon.

so very talented.
And never say cats can’t learn anything. They can.
But only what they want to!
