The Amazing Tipper! #Caturday

Hi, there! I’m Tipper Allen, and guess what? I did an amazing thing this week!

First, I hafta tell you that Momma and Poppa let me get on the low and soft furniture, like the window seat, the chairs, and the couches. They don’t allow me to get on the high and hard furniture, like the tables, the counters, and the cabinets. Silly people! I’m not a little baby kitten! High stuff doesn’t scare me, and hard stuff won’t hurt my paws!

So, when they aren’t looking, I get up on the high and hard stuff so I can ‘splore and ‘spect and ovverwise imbestibate.

Where I was imbestibating.

Well, then, the other morning, Momma heard a loud crash. Here’s what time it was.

This is what she found.

Oops!

Momma said, “What did you break?” She swept up the pieces, looked at them, and said, “This is a Corelle cup! Corelle ware is supposed to be unbreakable! How did you even do that? I can believe this!”

When I felt that cup go off the shelf, I was afraid she would be mad. But when I heard her say how amazing it was, I poked my head out.

You mad?

Momma is never mad at me for long. But she did say that if I got a Corelle ware splinter in my paw, I’d understand why she doesn’t want me prowling where the dishes are. I think hoomans shouldn’t leave their dishes where they could get knocked off by a super sneaky imbestibator.

A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: Did you ever knock something over and break it?

Um, Tipper… Iโ€™m trying to not say something that will encourage your less than quality behavior. Letโ€™s chalk this up to lessons learned.

I have broken Corelli, and your momma is right. The little shards are very sharp.

I’ve gotten some of those shards in my own paw before, and I don’t recommend the experience!

Oh my goodness! Tipper broke a Corelle? What kind of madness is that?! Totally amazing! I admit, I’ve chipped two Pyrex pieces in this house, on those godawful porcelain floors *weeps softly* I’m okay, I’m okay *rocks* but you appear to have kinder floors!
I’m glad you got the splinter from his paw. Owie!
PS: WHYHOW is your broom so clean?!? My broom hasn’t looked like that since it was in my cart! lol

We have a wooden floor in the kitchen, but it apparently isn’t kind to Corelle ware. ๐Ÿ™ If the broom is clean, it’s probably because Charlie has been sweeping something abrasive with it. It usually has so many dust bunnies stuck to the bottom, it’s more like a sponge than a broom.

Well the truth of the matter is, there was a horrible ghost, or spirit, or thief, or invasioneer, or something in the night. Tippper was on patrol and caught him. The evil Jin, or whatever it was threw the cup at brave Tipper to make him go away, and then fled. Tipper had done his duty. You’d have a scared look on your face, too, if you just fought off an evil Jin, or home invaderer! BRAVE CAT!

-giggles- I once caught Buffa on the piano and sprayed him with one of those squirt bottles full of cold water. Not sure if it actually worked, but he sure did hold a grudge. ๐Ÿ˜€

Yes, the smart ones know who’s pushing the handle on the squirt bottle. The dumb ones never learn. Anything.
