Non-NaNo Writing Accomplishments This Month

Even though I’m not doing NaNo this year, I’ve managed to accomplish some writing goals.

LonnieI edited and formatted eleven Lonnie and Tiny stories, ready to send Per Bastet’s production editor when she comes up for air after her successful NaNo marathon.

The critique group I’m in, Southern Indiana Writers, has been helping me improve EEL’S REVERENCE, also helping me find a new name for it that doesn’t sound so squiggly: THE WOLVES OF PORT NOVO. This month, I’m going through the edits, consolidating them all onto one copy of the printout. Then I can go through those and make my changes. That book will be reissued in its new form under its new title, probably in 2018.

So, even though I won’t get a badge, I consider this month a writing win. 🙂

I’m posting today at Fatal Foodies about Huckleberry Finning my breakfast.

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

Congratulations on your writing win. I think after I take Moo to school, I’ll make some milk gravy for toast and an egg. No, two eggs.

That Huckleberry Finning of the soup was a right good tale. Some things need to sit in the fridge “gettin all good” and some stuff needs a bit of kitchen witchery — nice when we get it juuuuust riiight!

Thanks, Joey! Cooking with leftovers is fun, innit? I love to take bits of things and make something delicious. 🙂
