I spent the night with #4 Daughter, the amazing Sara Marian, and her amazing fella, Zak. They took me out to eat at Ramsi’s Cafe on the World, which is actually on Bardstown Road but whatever. It looks very upscale, but it’s super food for regular people. Not that you can spit on the floor or anything, but it isn’t someplace Frasier and Niles would gloat over.
ANYWAY, imagine my delight, when I found that Ramsi’s is not only home to great food, but also to a plethora (GOD, I love that word!) of doors.

Now, this picture is only funny if you’re familiar with the Louisville’s Hometown Heroes campaign. If you don’t want to follow the link, I’ll just tell you that there are these YUGE vinyl banners all over Louisville with pictures of famous and/or important people who were born or lived a long time or claimed Louisville. So, this.
Yes, boys and girls, Hunter S. Thompson was born in Louisville. Incidentally, Johnny Depp, who played him in a movie, was also born in Kentucky.

November 10, 2017 at 2:02pmI saw that you used “plethora,” too! Maybe “plethora” is the new “whatevs”. lol! I agree — it needs to be a door-word. As for “yuge,” in some parts of America, people don’t sound the “h” in “huge,” and it comes out sounding like “yuge.” At least two of our most recent presidential candidates said it.
