So I was thinking, How cool would it be to have a secret treasure cave? And I answered myself, Way, that’s how.
I’m playing Minecraft in a jungle biome right now, and I built this house out of jungle wood logs. The second story is all glass, so I can go there and watch the rain. Or look at the stars. It’s open on the front so the parrots can fly in and out.
There’s a cave next to it, so I decided to hide it with a waterfall because cool. Here’s how to make a waterfall: Make a pit one block deep with a two-by-two-block interior. Fill that with water. Now that’s an endless water source. You could dip buckets of water out of that baby all day and never empty it. If you want a waterfall, knock out one wall of the pit. Instant waterfall.
To the right, you see one of the melons in my melon garden. To the left, you see one of the cocoa trees. I need to take a picture of my secret cave and the treasures heaped up in there.
But for now, here’s my real treasure in the game: I tamed an ocelot and got a marmalade (ginger, if your British) cat! I call him Buddy, after the ginger tom who taught me to love cats. <3 <3 <3
I had to break that chest, because the cat wouldn’t get off of it. Then I made a new one and put it higher on the wall. The green stuff is vine. I climb it to get to the second story.

A WRITING PROMPT BASED ON MY POST: Write about a secret treasure.

March 28, 2018 at 5:42amHey Marian I never knew they called ginger cats “marmalade” over there in the states! Love the waterfall, I hope that they add some real fluid dynamics to the game at some point so we can make stunning water features like real life

March 28, 2018 at 8:44amOoo, it would be nice! If I understood the pressure plates and levers and redstone and such, I could probably make a fountain. Maybe. But I spend enough time playing as it is — I don’t need to know enough to pull me into the game even longer! lol
