I posted about Ramsi’s Cafe on the World in Louisville Kentucky before, but I got some new shots this time.
This was between Ramsi’s and Carmichael’s Books. No idea what lies behind it, or if it even opens. Kinda scared to try!
Here’s a closeup of that picture to the side of the door.
And a closeup of that detail at the top of the door, with the light levels buggered to try to bring out the figures.
The light fixtures were boring, Joey, so I didn’t close in on them.
Had to get this closeup of a set of decorative doors inside the restaurant. One of my dining companions pointed out the HANDles.
I did a little ‘splorin’ and found this.
But that wasn’t what I was looking for.
In my ongoing series of Ladies’ Room chronicles, I submit this one.ย This was the only way I could show the mirror and the paneling without also showing the Necessary.
Not a very charming photo, but look at this newel! Look at that! Ain’t that a corker?
And, of course, the bar.

A WRITING PROMPT BASED ON MY POST: Write about a door with vines growing over it.

March 22, 2018 at 9:24amI loved this, Marian. LOL, that is kind of an ominous looking door. I know they aren’t (except for 1) but the round things look a lot like doorknobs (to my blind as a bat eye). It makes me imagine that the door would open to different things depending on which “knob” you used.
Hugs.

March 22, 2018 at 10:37amLOL! You don’t want to hold hands with the door you’re opening? Imagine if you grabbed one and it grabbed you back. Oh, Teagan…. Another idea for you!

March 22, 2018 at 2:20pmThat first door is downright museum worthy, especially with the carvings above it. I’m with Dan on the door HANDles: creepy in a Monkey’s Paw kinda way. Overall it looks like a nice place though ๐

March 23, 2018 at 8:47amIt’s a really nice place, Norm! The service is fast and friendly, and the food is wonderful. Also: great local beer. Frankfort Avenue is the place to be.
