True Love: A Proof #1LinerWeds

I have bought many brooms over the years in an attempt to keep ONE of them in the kitchen. Charlie is always carrying the kitchen one off to sweep the hearth, the basement, the porch….

So this one day I said, in obvious exasperation, “Do you know where my broom is?”

To which he replied:

Why?–you going somewhere?

And yet he lives.

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

LOL, Marian. Next time you have the broom in hand, you can show him how it swats bugs and smart-alecks.

Hehehe! I can relate. Even writing KITCHEN all over the handle doesn’t always work.

He SWEPT something? Don’t discourage that type of nesting behavior; and when, on rare occasions, he brings the broom back, give him a kiss and a treat and make a big fuss. Positive reinforcement is much more powerful than negative for modifying behavior.
