Tipper Gets a Rest #Caturday #TipperAndChickie

Hi, there! I’m Tipper Allen, and guess what? Chickie’s in jail!

She was bezing so bad: Getting on the table alla time, when Momma and Poppa were right there! Everybody knows you’re only allowed on the table when no hoomans are watching.

[Momma: Say what?]

Nothin’.

Anyways, she was messing with stuff, and knocking stuff over, and trying to get outside, and just stuff!

So night before last, Poppa made her go upstairs with him and yesterday morning he brought her down in her carrier. Then Momma put her in the car and drove off and came home without her. Then they went to wherever she was and brought her back, and she acted funny and smelled funny and had a funny thing around her neck so she can’t bite or play. And they took her upstairs and she’s not allowed to come down!

Momma said Chickie had “her big girl operation,” so maybe they had the badness cut out or something. I don’t know how long she’ll be in jail, but I’m kind of lonely.

And I’m kind of not.

Before she left, she was bezing so bad I tried to hide out. Momma has this desky thing for her laptop:

The top goes down and comes up. She said Dan would like to see the hardware, so I took a close-up.

I hid out inside the inside part, that’s kind of like a box when the top is off.

But Chickie found me.

Whatcha doin’, Tipper?
What if I get up here, huh? What if I get up here?
You wanna get up here, too? Come up an’ looka how high it is!

*sigh*

Poppa says he hopes Chickie’s Big Girl Operation calms her down a little. I hope so, too! Just a little.

A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: Have you had your big girl (or big boy) operation yet? Do you think you will? Would you like to?

Nice Desk! But we need more detail on the hardware. Practical desk, too.
I used to have a card table with a rotating top that I used as a desk, and kitchen table.
(But NOT at the same time!!!!!!)
It also made a great games table.

Thsnks got the picture, Tipper. I do like knowing how things work, and how to hide a cat place in a piece of furniture. I hope your sister recovers and feels better soon.

I think she’s recovering better than “Poppy.” He can’t stand seeing her irritated and confused by that E-collar.

No. Sadly not. Back then, it was real film in real cameras. So we old floks did not take pictures of everything like you young whipper-snappers. But imagine something 4×2 ft. The 2 unfolds to make a 4 ft square area. The top, when folded over, rotates on a pin in one corner. And that opens the inside to hide your cards. When open you get the usual green baize material. Easy for any furniture maker to make; Not complex like yours.

It was not mine, it actually belonged to Red, and one day he called it back. I still miss it.

    Nice desk dooji!
Nothing, no cat ever, will top when Catticus came home from his big boy operation. He was older, we almost thought we wouldn’t have to (cause vet said sometimes) but nope, 18 months and then the operation. So, he’s Big, right, like big boy big and he came home staggering like a drunk frat boy. I felt so bad for him, but at the same time it cracked me up, because the girl kitties were freaking out. They were not okay with his unfamiliar demeanor. In the morning, he was fine.

Glad Catticus recovered so quickly. Chickie was having troubles with her cone, but #2 Daughter ordered it removed, and Charlie did so. So far, she hasn’t been biting at the incision, which is what we had to cone to prevent, so I guess that turned out to be money wasted. Worth it, if it had been needed, though.

Don’t worry, Tipper. Chickie will be back to normal soon. Just enjoy your quiet time while you can. 🙂

I don’t know about Tipper, but I’m loving his enforced isolation from Chickie. I’ve never had so many snuggles!
