A Year In Haiku #SampleSunday

A Year in Haiku

Spikes of bronze grass lie
beneath the snow, concealed to
pierce the heart of Spring.

Hummingbirds duel
fiercely over the feeder ā€“
dual Cyranos.

Full moon in the trees,
why do you diminish when
you rise above Earth?

On a snow-lapped day,
someone has brought violets
tied with jade ribbon.

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Write a winter haiku.

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.
