Sucker Bait #ThursdayDoors

I still haven’t been on a doorscursion, so I’m falling back on another emergency stash: I take pictures of pictures of doors.

When I saved this one, I called it Sucker Bait.

Don’t ask me why I called it that; I don’t remember. I don’t know if I thought the ducks were heading to their doom, or if the ducks were playing the part of Judas goats. Oh! or maybe the painting was for sale? I don’t bemember.

Thursday Doors is the brainchild of Norm Frampton, photographer extraordinaire. Visit his site, enjoy his wonderful photographs, click on the blue frog link, and enter a world of doors.

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Why is this picture a picture of sucker bait?

The picture is sucker bait because once you walk through that arch and see the cottage up-close you realize that the realtor’s description of the property is complete hogwash. Sure the previous owners painted the front of the house, but everything else is in shambles– and will require big bucks to fix up.
