HELLO! My name is CHICKIE!
I had an ambenture last night, where I went to the attic to guard stuff up there and couldn’t get out. Mommy heard me calling, like, “Team Chickie! To me!” and she came and let me out. That’s what teams are for.
But mostly, I’ve been guarding stuff in the regular house.
Like guarding the front windows, with my sidekick, Tipper.
Tipper: Your WHAT?
My sidekick! When we’re wrestling, don’t I roll over on my back and kick you in the side?
Tipper: Well, yes.
Okay, that makes you my sidekick.
Tipper: I don’t think so, but never mind. Go on spinning your fantasies.
I’m not! I’m telling the real, true things! Because, look:
I guarded the couch for Poppy, so it would be warm when he wanted to take a nap.
And I guarded Mommy’s couch AND her purse AND her green grocery bag AND her leathery fing that she keeps aportant papers in. All at the same time!
Mommy and Poppy are lucky to have me on the job. They know it, too, because they give me good food and treats and pats and tell me what a good girl I am. Sometimes, they call me a special name: Pest. That makes me so proud!

July 14, 2019 at 8:05pmStill laughing! Mogi-the-Dog is known affectionately as ‘Stinky’ coz she loved rolling in nasty stuff outside. What would we do without our special friends? 🙂

July 13, 2019 at 2:57pmIf I ever get well enough, I may become a cat lady (just two, adopted from a shelter – I think I’m already too old for kittens!).
Then I’ll ask for advice.
Your pests are so well behaved – you must have tricks.
Sidekick, indeed!

July 14, 2019 at 7:42amOh, our pests are somewhat behaved. Chickie still jumps on the table and counters. If Tipper does, he does it when we can’t see him. They both still like to scratch and pick at some cloth furniture. But they’re mostly behaved. As long as they usually come when they’re called and let me clip their claws, I’m good.
