Because It’s Cool #1LinerWeds

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

My kids had similar T-shirts. (I have designer genes. We all have Avogradro’s number.) Yes, they knew their dad was a dork.

I don’t see how people try to get through life without math sense – they miss so many good jokes. And their change.

Although the modern generation seems to trust computers, and hasn’t learned GIGO.

Here at the old folks home, you have to check your bill carefully – the sum may be correct, but we usually have to go challenge something! Part of it is that they try to be so unobtrusive in counting whether you showed up for dinner. Part seems to be imagination.

Math is not my native language, in spite of being raised by an accountant. I didn’t start to get math sense until I worked in accounting, myself, and had to hang around with numbers and calculations all day. Then I had to learn to savvy the lingo. Immersion is the only way to really learn a language. It probably helps that I’ve always loved science and sciencey things, and science and math are BFF.

“they try to be so unobtrusive in counting whether you showed up for dinner. Part seems to be imagination.” LOL!!!!
