CoryDoors 1st State Office Building #ThursdayDoors

I had twice as many pictures as these, but the ether ate their pixels. Or something.

One of the pictures that was lost was of the exterior, but you can see that on the This Is Indiana, Historic Corydon site. It was blue for many years, and I still think it’s blue. It isn’t.

ANYWAY, we were there for our middle grandson’s high school graduation party. It was very cool: He and one of his friends since kindergarten asked their parents to go in together on a low-key, low-cost gathering. Scattered throughout the venue were pictures of the two of them together through the years. It was weepifying. In a good way. They’re rooming together in college, so the friendship continues!

Now, if you looked at the picture of the building on that other site, you might be amused to see this picture looking back at you. Oh, and there’s something right behind you across the street! Why, it’s a door!

Looking up, we see some gingerbread, and a light for Joey.

Inside, there’s more Joey bait, and a couple of transoms for the transom fans, of whom I am one.

A back door that means business.

A front door that’s bluffing.

Hardware pern. (Word intentionally misspelled because I get enough weird spam as it is.)

Interior door with painted transom and coolio window treatment.

I love that wallpaper, too!

Thursday Doors is the brainchild of Norm Frampton, photographer extraordinaire. Visit his site, enjoy his photographs, follow his directions, and enter a world of doors.

Nice doors! Nice transoms! Love the gingerbread. Hi, I’m Pete. I like looking at lamps and fixtures. It is addicting. But when I was young, my dad worked in the lighting department of O’malley’s BMC in Ariz.

Well, there! You can tell Charlie that “some very strange man was admiring my doors, transoms, gingerbread, lamps, and fixtures”. This should be good for a laugh. He might ask you to get a better class of internet fans!

Steffie chewed carefully on her spitballs, knowing that Pete had to be splatted….

Old building that are re-purposed make for some of the best venues with interesting doors. And isn’t that what we all are looking for? Cool doors.

Nice! Not much worse than pixel-eating ether, that’s for sure. Glad it didn’t get any worse. πŸ™‚

I think I get impatient and shut programs down before they’re finished processing. Anybody who thinks the internet has destroyed people’s patience has never tried to get something accomplished with a slow connection, yeah?

Me, too! Transoms have delighted me since I was little. Maybe I was a hotel detective in a former life.

HA HA! This blog needs a “like Button” So I can like comments and entries without having to reply to them.

Yes, the interwebs and our computers DO eat our stuff. “…And I, for one, welcome our new AI overlords!” Kent Brockman, Springfield News.

Steffie looked over her equipment carefully.
256 Spitballs, soaking wet, for Pete. (256 used to mean something in computers. Steffie Remembers!)
    One small salad for herself.
A camera to take pics for Marian.
    A motorcycle as a get-away vehicle.
Her lucky troll doll. NOT that Steffie believed in such things, oh, no!
And, a can of Spam. Not sure what she would do with it, but she liked to be prepared!
And lastly, an MP3 player with lots of tunes!
    It was time to ride!

Oh, it has a “like” for your original posts. But not for the awesome comments.

As for Steffie, my aim is to inspire, and encourage you.
Feel free to use any ideas.

        Take care. Thanks. pml
