My Deal Me In deck turned up hearts this week, so I got to read one of Alicia Butcher Ehrhardt’s online stories. This one was a re-read, because I’m lonesome for the characters in PRIDE’S CHILDREN: PURGATORY, and this is a prequel.

In it, an Irish actor has three encounters with the woman he loved but who left him. He has what he wants most in the world, only to find out that what he thought he wanted second and third were worth more to him. Too late.
Beautifully written. Perfect.
