Big Door, Little Door #ThursdayDoors

Per Bastet Publications paid a social call on Seventh Star Press, and had a gluten-free meal that couldn’t be beat. Also: Booze.

Naturally, I took a few door pictures. The main one, the star of the show, has it all.

But this one is my favorite.

On my firm principle that drawers are doors that open differently, I give you this chest, which immigrated a generation or two ago from Germany.

I was JUST OUTSIDE THE FRONT DOOR when Seventh Star’s eldest granddaughter handed me this guy to look at.

A little blurry, but not bad for one-handed photography.

Great doors. I love the teapot. Looks like it would serve an army. Good job on the caddypiller.

Carefully, Steffie gathered a number of caterpillars for the evil dictator. Tonight, he would pet one for the last time. She recalled how her handler, Pete, had inspired this, with another of his insipid, and innocent comments. The man was a geyser of crazy, but sometimes useful, trivia. She put the cats in a lovely little cardboard box, and wearing her best gown, pressed for an audience with the horrid little man. She’d have such a NICE story to tell when she came back home… Ah, she loved her job!
