No, sorry, this is not about that.
Charlie doesn’t actually have any brothers with foul-mouthed wives (bear in mind, though, that this is ME saying this). The wife of the brother we visited for this Doorscursion did, however, have choice words for the man living behind the red door.
Nice door, anyway.
On the brother and sister-in-law’s porch, I sat next to this, which is sort of a terrarium, sort of a gnome house, with its roof being its door.
Here’s another red door, but behind it is a shed filled with tools.
This isn’t a door, per se, but it has an opening. It’s so vibrant, I had to share the colors! You can see part of a dry-stone wall, meaning it’s put together with no mortar. There was a mudslide this year from construction on the street above, and the wall didn’t budge. Great work!
Thursday Doors is the brainchild of Norm Frampton, photographer extraordinaire. Visit his site, enjoy his wonderful photos, follow his instructions, and enter a world of doors.
I’m still running a poll to gauge interest in my various post themes. So far, I haven’t had much luck. My site server went down briefly and I lost some comments and some results. But I’ll keep the poll going until Saturday.

September 12, 2019 at 7:54amI like your red door photos– especially the little shed. I’m a sucker for red doors, truth be told.
I wondered what was going on with your blog. I followed the links from Feedly and the posts weren’t there. That’s just wrong.
As for preferences about what you do here, I can be content with whatever you decide you want to do– that makes you happy. Post daily, post monthly. Have set topics or not. It’s all good.

September 13, 2019 at 7:46amIt’s very disconcerting, having your blog go wonky. Throws you into an alternate universe!

September 13, 2019 at 7:47amI like doors with bright colors, red or not, but red seems to be popular. đ

September 12, 2019 at 5:31pmGreat doors! I love the terrarium. I voted (yesterday, after the restore and before that) but I don’t see any results đ

September 13, 2019 at 7:49amI’m not seeing results, either. I get emails from them whenever anyone votes, but I lost some emails in the crash, so I’ll have to piece it together from the ones I have and the comments.
