1816 Again #ThursdayDoors

I’m getting ready to go to Imaginarium creative writing convention this weekend, so here’s one door. Well, kind of two. Three, if you count the bit of the door to the restaurant that shows. I went to 1816 restaurant again, and snapped this cool cabinet in the john. I couldn’t get all of it; if I’d wanted to back up any more, I’d’a had to take out a wall.

Thursday Doors is the brainchild of Norm Frampton, photographer extraordinaire. Visit his site, enjoy his wonderful photographs, follow his directions, and enter a world of doors.

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Write about an old, old cabinet.

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

One of my favorite photos was the day I took my camera into the john and got a picture of a Real Live CRAPPER! It was made in Great Britain, and was named, “The Venerable”!

The hinges on that door are most unique. You do find the places to go [pun intended]. Enjoy your writing convention.

That’ll work quite nicely thank you. Reminds me a bit of an old-fashioned Shaker Pie-Safe.

You know that’s probably exactly what it is. I love furniture that’s distressed by long use.

If I could have tucked it under my shirt without calling attention to myself, I might have carried it home. lol
