What are some things YOU can do, yourself?
Here’s a post from back in 2017 at the National Resources Defense Council’s website with a few suggestions.
I pay especial attention to #8, because my church had an interim pastor who was all about de-zombifying. That means unplugging anything not in actual use. Anything plugged in, including a charging cable not actively charging something, is pulling electricity. You can save electricity by unplugging any electrical plug you aren’t currently (ha ha I kill myself) using.
How much good can that do? Well, this was written on the remains of the former Berlin Wall:
Word.
A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Write about a small act with big consequences.

November 22, 2019 at 8:21amOk, now I’ve heard the opposite of de-zombifying. What I’ve been told is that when you unplug small devices you use more electricity when you plug in again AND that they’re not meant for all that wear & tear so they’ll break sooner… meaning you’ll have to buy them again. I try to do good, but it does seem that what is good changes often.
