2019 Retro #ThursdayDoors

Norm Frampton, Grand Pooh-Bah of the Thursday Doors link-up, plans to take the rest of the year off, the slacker. Er, I mean, bless his heart. He invites us to share our favorites of our door photos from this year today.

(I will not be taking the rest of the year off. Sorry.)

So here are some of my favorites.

This one is the INSIDE of a tiny little access door in the ladies’ room at the Bard’s Town on Bardstown Road in Louisville, Kentucky.

Behind the tiny door: “You are beautiful.” Even if you’re on the floor of the ladies’ loo.

I love this next one because there are three doors on one landing, but mostly because it was sent to me by Michael Williams, one of my favorite authors, who guested on my blog!!!11!

You know how I love Storybook Style, so of course I have to include a Storybook Style house with, of course, its door. Charlie drove me through a whole neighborhood and stopped for this picture, so it doesn’t look like I was photographing under the influence.

Happy Holidays of all sorts to Norm Frampton, photographer extraordinaire and the brains behind the Thursday Doors link-up. Visit his website, enjoy his wonderful photographs, follow his directions, and enter a world of doors.

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Write about three doors. Or five doors, if you want to be like that. Or write about being on the floor.

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

The access door was truly tiny. I believe I could take anybody who could come through it. If they just peeked, they’d pull back an eyeful of foot.

Excellent choices. I’m especially fond of the hidden “you are beautiful” message.
If I’m a Grand Pooh-Bah doesn’t that mean I need to have one of those funny-looking hats? I’m going to need to take some time off just so I can go shopping for that πŸ˜‰
Enjoy the holiday season and we’ll see you in 2020 πŸ™‚

Those are wonderful choices, Marian! I loved the little storybook cottage, and I am glad Charlie stopped for you to make the picture!
