Because Never Enough #Cats – Also: This Week’s #Nails

Cats aren’t everybody’s happy place, but they’re mine. Well, cats and kittens. Cats first, IRL, but kittens, too, especially in videos and pictures. Charlie likes kittens better, which makes us a good tag team.

ANYWAY, here be many cats. Enjoy. The one about how to take great selfies with your cat (or pictures of your cat) is pretty hilarious. Like my cats wouldn’t fill the shot with their paws and snoots, investigating the attention-getting attachment.

So, nails:

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

Har! The nail art doesn’t take all that much time: Put on a coat of polish and work at my computer until it dries. Then do another bit. Less time than it would take to watch a television show, which I don’t do. And I cook; Charlie does the dishes, mostly. I wash up as I cook, and I do laundry, but a well-done mani stands up to ordinary use. It folds under chemicals, but non-toxic cleaners are fine. #4 Daughter’s mani holds up to two weeks of archaeological fieldwork, so it’s not just for princesses. ~grin~

    Oooh, festive nails!

And cats are like soft warm Slinkys. Never thought to attempt a selfie with one; not sure Crystal, my favorite cat model, would let anyone else in the shot.

Yeah, I’ve done selfies with cats, but most of them look like the “without this device” pictures on the device’s ad. I did them mostly to use myself as a scale to show the size of the cat, though, so it didn’t matter that I had a paw over my face or similar.
