The hoomans had a Christmas, and Poppy brought me home a present. It had a good, strong smell, and it rolled great! He put it on the kitchen table, so I could play robber. But Mommy took it away and said, “Lifesavers are not for kitties!”
I like Poppy best.
But then, Poppy said he was going to take away my tall sitty place!
The sitty thing is the best place inna world!
I had a cunning plan.
We will guard it wif all our lives! I’ll look this way and you look that way.
Meanwhile, Poppy is making a lotta lotta noise in the basement, and every time I go down to help, there’s more boxy, poking-upy stuff down there.
Mommy pets me when I come and tell her I’m getting nervous.
Sometimes, I like Mommy best.
