Hi, there! I’m Tipper Allen, and guess what? Momma went away again, but only for one night. I missed her a lot, though, and she came home smelling like another cat!
She loves me best, though. She bought me a Kong kicker stuffed with fluff and catnip. I loved it, loved it, loved it!
Of course, Chickie had to nose in!
And she took it away from me!
Chickie: I just wanted a turn!
The next day, Momma and Poppa found wads of soggy fluff all over the house, and Momma found a big hole in my Kong. Momma got mad at Chickie for kicking holes in my new toy.
Chickie: Why do I always get blamed for everything?
Momma sewed it up.
Then Momma saw me biting new holes in it and licking the stuffing out. So she threw the Kong away, because she was afraid I would choke or get too much catnip or something.
So I snuck outside again. Poppa let us out on the upstairs balcony and I hid when he let Chickie in so he thought I was in already. But nobody knew I was out there, so Momma didn’t come and call me and get worried. I was outside, and nobody cared! After a few hours, I meowed real loud and jumped off the balcony onto the downstairs porch in the front, where Momma was sitting. She opened the front door, but she always lets me in the back door, so I ran around the house. She understood, and went and let me in the back door. I’m glad to be back with my momma!
Now, Momma says today is Monkey Day, so we’re supposed to say HAPPY MONKEY DAY!
Chickie: HAPPY MONKEY DAY!
A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: Did you ever tear up a toy because you loved it so much?
