Friend and award-winning fellow writer Joanna Foreman recently visited Florida and sent me this door picture.

Isn’t that delightful? I especially love the pineapples on the door mat. In case you didn’t know, pineapples have long been a symbol of hospitality. That’s why you sometimes see pineapples on the entrance gates to big old houses.

      It’s very appealing. If I didn’t get overheated so easily, I’d love to visit Florida, if only for the colors and the light. 🙂
