Chickie Inna House #Caturday #TipperAndChickie

HELLO! My name is CHICKIE!

I got a great present this week. PAPER! Not just any paper, though. This is special peeky paper. Tipper says he got some once, and he played it all to bits. He says I can have this one for my very own, but he’ll play with it a little when I’m not playing with it. He’s a good big brudder.

Best. Toy. EBBER!

Poppy has been watching a lot of stuff on the gombuter. It’s mostly hoomans talking, but sometimes it’s hoomans shouting. Sometimes they shout about universal hep cats and then somebody says, “How will you pay for it?” Who cares? Cats are worth it!

Hep cats for all!

I did it again, though. I was on my cat bird seat on the cat tree, and I was rolling around, showing Mommy how cute I am, and I fell off. This time, I didn’t catch myself, and I fell all the way onto the floor. Mommy didn’t laugh, but I was in barrassed.

That’s when I made a discovery!

I was looking for someplace to hide, and I ducked into my old cat snuggery! Poppy put it on the bottom of the cat tree, but I like to be high, so I ignored it. When I went in, I bemembered how good it felt in there when I first came to this house.

Now I go in there a lot. It’s warm in there, and it’s cozy. Mommy says my hooman sister #2 gave it to our Aunt Sweetie Pie, who went to the Rainbow Bridge before I got here. That makes it even cozier.

Tipper says to tell you he’s okay, he’s just busy helping Mommy write a story. He says it helps to have a cat in your lap, pinning your arms under them.

A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: Do you ever get in barrassed? Where do you go when that happens?

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

The first tall scratching post I made had a shelf about 5 1/2 feet off the ground. Our cat kept falling off. Ever since, I’ve made cradles out of Sonotubes and carpet. Apparently, cats have to be awake to land on their feet – thunk.

Chickie was awake both times. I told Charlie he needed to put in a safety net. I like your cradles; they look cozier than shelves.

Oh Chickie! I hope you didn’t hurt yourself. Sometimes hiding away is the best thing to make you feel better. Oh and tell your Momma that I have very helpful cats too. They’re very good at sitting on my arms while I type. Gives me lots of time to think deep thoughts…

Oh, “think deep thoughts”. I like that!

Chickie seems to have made a full recovery, and I’ve learned to refrain from telling her what a pretty girl she is when she’s in the catbird seat.
