Shrimp Delight #NotVegan

I didn’t have to warn you that this dish isn’t Kosher, because shrimp. Of course, you don’t have to be Jewish to eschew shrimp. #4 Daughter, the amazing Sara Marian, says shrimp are cockroaches of the sea. I’m like, “If cockroaches of the land tasted this good, they would be extinct.”

ANYWAY, I had some noodles left over (homemade this time), and I grabbed a bag of frozen cockroaches shrimp on impulse, and I try to keep a bag of frozen peas. (I love frozen peas. Charlie prefers canned. We trade off on which we have, when we have peas.) I also had some cream, which I keep in case I take a notion to make chocolate truffles.

So I made a white sauce using the cream, cooked the noodles, shrimp, and peas in the same pot, and we had this:

Grated Parmesan on top. Yeah, the kind in the plastic container. Sue me.

I’m posting today at Fatal Foodies about a most delicious totally vegetarian feast.

It’s hard to stuff a cockroach, except maybe some in New York.
