When Friends Collide #1LinerWeds

The mother of friend and fellow writer, the fabulous T. Lee Harris (author of award-winning mystery books and stories), has been reminiscing with me about her (the mother’s) childhood.

The mother had a childhood friend named Marion, who remained a friend all her life.

Mrs. Harris remembered that their friendship wasn’t without conflict. Sometimes they would thump each other. Then Marion would chase her, and she (the now Mrs. Harris) would yell:

Open the door, Mother, I’m comin’ home!

Crack. Me. Up. If I were going to have a tombstone, that’s what I’d want on it.

This post is part of Linda G. Hill’s weekly blog hop, One-Liner Wednesday. If you have a one-liner or just like them, follow the link.

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: What would you (or your main character) like on your (or their) tombstone? One-liners preferred.

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

My mama always said, “It’s like Maria and Mario, but with an N on the end.” Apparently, a lot of people’s mama’s didn’t know that.
