Another Mushroom Feast #QuarantineCooking

The season is probably over for me. The mushroom season, that is. Our last haul was so large, we stretched the findings over three days. I might possibly go out today, but things are getting pretty grown up out in the woods, and ticks are no damn fun.

ANYWAY, I’m also clearing out the freezer, so we had this feast.

Jes’ plain corn, peas and onions, lightly breaded fried morels. Oh, y’all! If this is vegan (it is), where do I sign up? (I’m not a vegan, but I’m an ally.)

I’m posting today at Fatal Foodies about make-do Quarantine Pimiento Cheese.

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Someone finds something in the freezer.

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

I haven’t had pearled onions in forever! Now, it’s off to do that prompt…

I know! I forget about pearled onions, and then I remember them, and they’re so cute and delicious!

We followed it up with some almonds. You would think I would be skinny, wouldn’t you? Well, I’m not.
