From Cuba to Ireland in a Single Post #Nails #MondayRecommends

One of my favorite writers, Vera Nazarian, is also a publisher. She recently drew my attention to her Classics Imprint, and I drooled all over my keyboard. I read my copy of Gene Stratton Porter’s FRECKLES until it fell apart. Now I can get a new one!

Unfortunately, I just bought some nail product, so I need to take it easy on the old plastic for a few months weeks days, but I did treat myself to something I haven’t read before, Carmen by Prosper Mérimée. In case you didn’t know, it takes place in Cuba. The opera does, anyway. Soon, I shall see if the novel does. Wheeeeee!

So I got all the things! Look!

Totoro!
The green and yellow things are candy. Belicious!

I tried to do a gradient, and I failed. At least when I fail, I fail HARD.

So I covered it with dark green, a pale green stamp, and holographic glitter. Take that! Biff! Pow!

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Write about a failure that’s covered up.

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

I love the grook and the advice. I need to be as generous to myself as I try to be to others. Thanks for the reminder. 🙂

      There are no fails
      in painting nails,
      just less
      success
      till you can tell
      you’ve done it well.
