Women in the Men’s Room and Storybook Quartet #ThursdayDoors #StorybookStyle

I told y’all I’d go into the men’s room and take a picture of the wall the next time I went to lunch at Con Huevos. So that happened.

The ladies’ has Frida Kahlo on it, so I was thinking the men’s would have Diego Rivera, but no. I guess this makes sense, since it’s the ladies who carry the eggs. Also: baby changing station in the men’s room FTW.

We went to the house of my husband’s middle brother and his wife, which is in a neighborhood with many Storybook Style houses. Here are a few I snapped while Charlie drove, and one taken from our destination’s porch.

Boring door, GREAT windows. Cute door on the side of the Tudor next door.
Love the open vestibule or enclosed porch or whatever you call it!
Not a Christmas wreath. Love the Farmhouse door and the catslide roof!

Thursday doors is the brainchild of Norm Frampton, photographer extraordinaire. Visit his site, enjoy his wonderful photographs, follow his directions, and enter a world of doors.

Interesting men’s room, Marian. I love those picturesque little houses, very fairytale like.

I’ve been in more men’s rooms than you can shake a … stick … at, Jean. And I just purely love Storybook Style architecture!

I knew the look, because there are many houses in Louisville, Kentucky in that style, but I didn’t know the name until I stumbled on a book about it in a second-hand book shop. šŸ™‚

I’ll just echo what the others have said about this style of architecture: it is absolutely adorable and “storybook is such an appropriate name for it”.

Thanks for going to such lengths to give us a peek inside. Inquiring minds, and all that. Great doors. I love that house style.

I know! Even the terminology for this architecture is delightful. šŸ™‚
