Wise Guy #1LinerWeds

Today’s one-liner comes courtesy of a comment last week by friend and fellow writer Mitchell Allen (no relation that I know of, alas).

My one-liner last week was about things parents say. Mitchell recalled the old standby about eating your food because people in _____ are starving. The he said:

Thank goodness I wasn’t smart-alecky enough to tell her to send my food to “___”. LOL I’d a been knocked into next Wednesday’s One-liner!

This post is part of Linda G. Hill’s weekly blog hop, One-Liner Wednesday. If you have a one-liner or just like them, follow the link.

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Write about a smart-alecky reply.

Marian, I was tickled to be included in your lineup. Roy’s comment made me sad: I knew nothing of that when I was a little boy. I knew this, though, you can’t keep a good smart-aleck down. By the time I was in my tweens, I was know for my ascerbic tongue. LOL
