Chicken Soup With Slacker Crackers #QuarantineCooking

There’s a spot in the back of my refrigerator’s deli drawer where flatbread goes to die. I found the tag end of this package.

The remainders had not spoiled; they had desiccated. And I was like, You know what? These are just like crackers!

So I served them with soup:

The soup was made from potatoes, carrots, celery, leftover chicken, leftover corn, leftover beans, chicken broth, and barley. The Slacker Crackers were crunchy AF. We considered the whole thing a success.

I’m posting today at Fatal Foodies about Pasta Fazool made from leftovers. Even less than ordinarily, nothing goes to waste around here.

I may have passed on the dessicated crackers, but the chicken soup sounds yummy. I guess we work magic with what’s in the fridge so we don’t have to go to the store. Stay safe and well, Marian!

You take care, too, Mary! And the desiccated crackers were surprisingly pleasing. 😀
