I’ve been past the back of the neighbors’ house to go into the woods to hunt (and, happily, find) mushrooms. While I was wandering about, I photographed a handful of doors.
Neighbors’ shed.
Their balcony.
Our potting shed / lawn mower garage. The potting shed is through that inner doorway. That’s also where Charlie made a cozy, straw-bale, blanket-lined “cave” for Joe the dog, for nights it wasn’t cold enough to force him (Joe, not Charlie) into the basement.
Doors to bug houses, created by a woodpecker who ignored the “No Solicitors” sign.
Thursday doors is the brainchild of Norm Frampton, photographer extraordinaire. Visit his site, enjoy his wonderful photographs, follow his directions, and enter a world of doors.
A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Someone demands entrance.

April 2, 2020 at 1:05pmLiked the title caption of your post (but for some reason the “Like” button has not been working for me) and some the humor injected into your cool pics, Mary Allen! Humor these days are prime commodity that they don’t stock on the shelves or they have been picked clean and hoarded by others. Stay healthy and safe!

April 3, 2020 at 9:24amThese neighbors are related. 🙂 They expect to see me prowling the woods behind their house during mushroom season.

April 4, 2020 at 10:14pmNice! I think a balcony in the woods is groovy. Also, it looks like your potting shed has a window? Very nice. Of course, the woodpeckers’ digs are nice, too.

April 5, 2020 at 8:41amThe potting shed is made almost entirely of windows. Charlie used to do remodeling work during the summers, and his clients asked him to cart off their old windows. So he did. So the potting shed is made of windows held together with wood. 😀
