Sorry? Well… #1LinerWeds

Different families have different things they say when you do something that has consequences you regret.

Some families say, “I guess you’ll know better, next time.” Some say, “Let that be a lesson.”

My family?

That’ll learn ya, durn ya!

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

I like when “learn” is used this way. I’ve heard at least the first part of this.

Haven’t heard of that one before… Sounds very quirky to me.

What Daniel said. I always thought it was country-cool. Like “Okie-dokie, then.” When we watch Korean dramas, the sub-title translators leave off the Okie-dokie (not that they were supposed to insert it. I just mentioned that so you can imagine the effect of reading a line of dialog that says simply. “Then.” The line is usually followed by the speaker’s walking out of the room.

My other favorite–not sure if it’s countrified–“If I had my druthers.”

    Cheers,

Have I done anything with consequences I regret? Certainly. Have I had my druthers? Sometimes. You?
