Magdalena tucked her employers’ children in, just as Mrs. MacLamore beeped her.

“There’s your mother,” she crooned. “I told you she’d kiss you goodnight.”

She bustled down the stairs from the nursery to the front door, anxious to get there before Mrs. MacLamore beeped her again. That would mean a scolding and no month-end bonus.

When she opened the door, Mrs. MacLamore’s scowl turned into a smile.

“At last!” she said. “I was beginning to think I’d have to start carrying a key for my own house.”

They laughed together as Magdalena stepped aside for the lady of the house to precede her into the sitting room.

“I just tucked the children in. They were hoping for a goodnight kiss from one of you.”

“Oh, Mr. MacLamore had to fly to Montenegro on business. He won’t be back until the wee hours. Bring me my blue sweater and a Whiskey Sour and you may leave.”

“Thank you, Mrs. MacLamore.”

At her second job, Magdalena changed into her Naughty Nanny outfit, directed the camera set-up, and told the actors what she wanted them to do.

She bent over the bed, being sure to flash her bare bottom.

Two hairy arms reached out to embrace her.

“Mr. Long! Where is Junior?”

“We switched beds. I need to be tucked in, in the worst way.”

The rest of the video, the part where Mrs. Long caught them and joined them, would be behind the paywall, and she had every reason to believe it would be another moneymaker for herself and her crew.

Her day job didn’t pay very well monetarily, but it was a rich source of material. As a wise man once said,

Anything juvenile that’s called “adult” sells for more.

That’s what Charlie said, when looking through a mixed-interest book catalog. The biographies, cookbooks, and mainstream novels were inexpensive, and the racier the titles and covers, the higher the prices.
