Sunday Snapshot: A Bad Spell of Bugs

These were potato plants. They’ve been ravaged by tomato hornworms. So now we know: hornworms can’t spell.

  I have NEVER had tomato hornworms on potatoes. NEVER. Apparently, they’ll go for tomatoes, if they’re on offer, but will settle for potatoes.

    Just as a matter of interest, what do those ugly little green beasties turn into after all that chomping? Please tell me it’s not a butterfly.

        Oh! I think we get those over here as well. I don’t with it harm but I’m glad it’s not a beautiful butterfly. I know…I’m shallow. 🙁
